an ARTIST’S perception by Natalie Guess

Naples is a wonderful place to be and it’s pretty obvious that there are many who agree. This is a month where there are many choices of what to do on any given day to accommodate the numerous visitors and residents. There are various art events this month, as usual, but only one focused on longtime resident artists.

It offers an opportunity to meet these well-respected professionals and see and purchase some of their current works of art directly from them. The 23rd annual “Five Painters and a Potter” event is Sunday March 22nd from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Clay Place, located at 1555 Shadowlawn Dr., Naples. It is a unique outdoor art show and sale the way we did them many years ago, in Naples.

This event features artists that have been living and painting in Naples for more than 49 years and are a strong part of the current day art scene, as well. “Captain Joe & The Bottom Feeders” are performing live music for your enjoyment while visiting with artists Paul Arsenault, Jim Rice, Natalie Guess, Tara O’Neill and Rick Wobbe and experiencing remaining works by artist in memoriam, Phil Fisher. www.NaplesClayPlace.com

If unable to get to this event, works by three of these artists and more, can be seen at Guess-Fisher Gallery, 985 Central Ave., Naples. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Come in and find your new, inspiring painting to take home and excite your life!
