an ARTIST perception by Natalie Guess

The holidays are fast upon us and we’re hopefully gearing up to make a lot of good memories with friends and family. It’s that web of memories that weave wonderful support as we go through life. As the weather is changing and the humidity lowers and it’s slightly cooler, we are able to participate in outdoor activities more often. This weather is the enticement for our many Northern visitors to come to South Florida.

Comfortable weather also encourages artists to paint “en plein air” as Phil Fisher loved getting out on location and painting the beautiful scenery this area has to offer. Through the years he painted, many now, historic scenes that are iconic to Naples. It was the beauty of the way light played with the clouds, flora and fauna that excited him in his work and will stand the test of time. He painted many memories over the last 54 years.

Wednesday, December 3, our “Small Treasures” show will open with the Naples Design District “Holiday Stroll,” from 4 to 8 p.m. It offers the opportunity to enjoy a festive evening and purchase a small memory by any of our 8 artists that you can hold onto for years to come.

Come by and find your favorite painting and meet the artists of the place that you love!
Guess-Fisher Gallery, located at 985 Central Avenue, in the heart of the Naples Design District. 239-659-2787.

We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 1 to 6 p.m.
