Angel, a high school senior and member of Guadalupe Center’s Tutor
Corps Program describes his journey with one word: adaptable.
Growing up in Immokalee, he faced challenges early—navigating
language barriers, speech difficulties and the pressure of living up to
his brother’s example—a Tutor Corps Alumnus himself. Through it all,
he found strength in his family and the Guadalupe Center.
“Guadalupe Center became my village,” Angel says. “Mentors
welcomed me with open arms, helping me focus and move forward.”
Today, Angel is in the top ten of his class with a 5.0 weighted GPA
and has dreams of becoming a mechanical engineer.
Guadalupe Center goes beyond classrooms—providing early
childhood education, after-school tutoring, mentorship, and college
support—walking alongside students from the beginning and
creating opportunities for lifelong success.
