profit organizations in the Naples community, but none
of them have had the structurally sound operational team and strong blueprint for a long-term
impact like STARability. We wholeheartedly know that each hour and every dollar that we
contribute does indeed go to improving the lives of the participants and advancing the program
to reach new heights. I like to say that we are sowing seeds for what is to come and we hope that
one day Kenidi will join STARability’s programs.”
Following the sold-out 2022 STAR Gala that raised $3.2 million, STARability’s largest
benefit event of the year returns to raise funds to expand the nonprofit organization’s innovative
programs that shine light on ability, not disability. Proceeds from the event support hundreds
of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families throughout
the community.
For nearly four decades, STARability Foundation has been shining a light on abilities, not disabilities.
Formed by a small community of caring parents, STARability has become one of Southwest Florida’s
leading nonprofits. Today, the organization is opening a world of possibilities for hundreds of indi-
viduals ages 14 and older by offering a variety of inclusive programs focused on vocational training,
continuing education, teamwork, social engagement and community involvement. Their compas- Top: STARability’s 2023 STAR Gala co-chairs
