Icy Blue
and you
by Angela Lossia
fter a hectic and busy holiday season – the start of 2020
A signals packing up your reds and greens and creating a
new color palette for the new year.
Serene, cool and soothing – think blue.
We are fortunate to be surrounded by variations of the
color blue all year round. When I moved to Southwest
Florida in 2005 the color was seafoam; then came aqua
followed by turquoise leading into a palette of steely gray
blues and indigo.
Start the year 2020 with a gorgeous, crisp and clean icy
blue. When complemented with white or a light tan and
silver or gold accents– you have the perfect palette to refresh
your home for the new year.
Here are four easy ways to transform your home using
this new color palette:
1. Start with pillows on your sofa.
2. Add a pop of these colors to your cocktail table with
a tray or bowls with icy blue, gold and white.
3. A new area rug, lamps or even a piece of art can
finish off your room.
4. For the more motivated—cover an accent wall with
grass paper or paint in a darker shade of icy blue – it
will be stunning.
These four easy and affordable tips can revive your home.
Think of these accessories as jewelry – it’s what makes you
and a room stand out.

transform your home for the next decade.
