O ver the past half century, Southwest Florida has had an alluring
beauty and warmth that has drawn visitors to come and enjoy its
unique environment. The Gulf, its beach and The Everglades offer
numerous activities on land and water, exploring nature at its best.
The eating and shopping adventures are like no other. Then when you’re done
with all of the hustle and bustle of our busy Naples, come down to Old Naples
and experience Crayton Cove where time slows down and takes us back to
days gone by. This area defines the reason many moved here years ago. Even
though the Naples City Docks are being rebuilt this summer, the small family
owned businesses and restaurants will be open and offering repose from the
sounds of construction which seems to be throughout Naples these days. This is
a charming “must see” in Naples and is home to the best restaurants including
Bleu Provence, Chez Boët, The Dock Restaurant, The Boathouse, Cove Inn
Café and Napoli On The Bay. The Cove Inn also offers a stay on the bay in
a convenient location to travel by land or water. This destination has become
known for its galleries representing numerous area professional artists in seven
locations. Phil Fisher Gallery, Random Acts of Art, Nora Butler Designs &
Gallery, Cove Inn Lobby 24/7, Naples Ships Store, Earth & Fire, Vintage
Charm and Guess-Fisher Gallery welcome guests to enjoy their many works
of art to take home as a memory of their visit or add to their home here as a
reminder of why they live here.
In May, the Great Dock Canoe Race will happen on Saturday May 6th and
on Saturday May 13th, “Art After Dark” has its last “hurrah” for this season
where the Galleries of Crayton Cove invite the public to come and enjoy live
music and art from 6 - 9 p.m. A fun and cultural evening to be had by all will
be found at the intersection where 8th Street South and 12th Avenue South
meet by the flagpole. The Galleries of Crayton Cove are a professional artist
community in Old Naples by the Bay all within a one-block walk.
