32 | PAINT THE TOWN
With thousands of snowbirds packing their bags and heading north
during the warmer months, it’s time to paint the town – or maybe
just learn to paint. There are hundreds of classes, exhibits, volunteer
opportunities, and more – all happening at the area’s only dedicated arts
hub – the Naples Art Association (NAA). So, grab your paintbrush, a
few friends, and your curiosity and let us bring out your inner artist!
38 | INDIA THROUGH MY LENS
India is the seventh-largest country by area, the second-
most populous country with over 1.2 billion people, the
most populous democracy in the world and predominately
Hindu. To understand India in three weeks I would equate
to taking a sip of water out of a fire hose. Why? There is too
much history, a diverse culture, caste systems and so much
more. I wanted a photojournalist trip, so I traveled the road
less voyaged.
56 | ARTIS–NAPLES
As Music Director Andrey Boreyko enters his third season as the
organization’s artistic leader, his focus continues to be the examination
of the communion between visual and performing arts. This season
will find programs across series and disciplines that explore the ideas
of muses and scale.
