For the
LOVE OF ART –
an experience
by Laurel Meny
A s the center of the arts
world in Southwest
Florida, The Naples Art
Association (NAA) is
continually reinventing the way its
members observe and respond to
art, so it only fitting that it does the
same with its annual gala. For the
Love of Art is a dramatic, once-
in-a-lifetime extravaganza for the
senses. It will take place on Saturday,
February 25 and will feature
spectacular live entertainers,
interactive high-energy art
experiences, delicious cocktails,
and culinary masterpieces from
four talented chefs, and of course,
outstanding works of art. “Wish List” auction items will be scattered
throughout, providing guests with the fulfillment of knowing what
their contributions have purchased in support of art.
“As a creative organization, we wanted to turn the traditional
black-tie fundraiser on its head,” said Aimee Schlehr, CEO/executive
director of the NAA. “This year’s For the Love of Art event will
allow us to astonish our guests with endless artistic possibilities for
an evening they won’t soon forget.”
As always, the NAA will also use this evening as an opportunity
to acknowledge those who have made a significant difference to the
organization during a brief and meaningful ceremony. The awards
will include The Hirshhorn Award, The Impact Award, and The
Gulfshore Life Emerging Art Leader Award.
Don’t miss For the Love of Art’s delectable cuisine, signature
cocktails, and great music paired with evocative art. Tickets are
$250 per person and $450 per couple. VIP tickets are $400 per
person and $750 per couple. Tickets can be purchased by visiting
www.NaplesArt.org or by calling 239.262.6517.
