W ith a season that includes 14 exhibitions, three weekend-long
outdoor art shows in downtown Naples, five Art in the Park
art shows, four Dinners with Artists, a haunted house, For the
Love of Art – its answer to the annual gala, over 100 classes and workshops,
ARTScool summer art program for kids, and a myriad collaborative
outreach programs, it’s easy to see a pattern. There’s something for
everyone! So 12 years ago, when the idea of an evening of friendship,
empowerment, education, and philanthropy for women by women came
about, The Naples Art Association jumped at the opportunity to host.
“As an organization dedicated to promoting and advancing education,
interest, and participation in the visual arts, we felt that hosting an
event where women could learn about not only art, but health, wellness,
business, cuisine, and much more, was a perfect fit. And, with a sold out
crowd of over 150 in attendance each year, we know that Goddess Night
is something that women truly plan for and look forward to each year,”
said Aimee Schlehr, Naples Art Association executive director.
This year’s Goddess Night is presented by Arthrex and is scheduled
for Thursday, April 7, 2016 at The von Liebig Art Center, located at 585
Park Street. In addition to a keynote speaker and informative speaker
sessions, guests will enjoy a champagne reception and seated dinner - with
all proceeds to benefit educational art programming.
