T he red carpet was out on the evening
of June 25, 2015 as guests approached
the new Quail West home of Tina and
Jack Nicholson to celebrate the 90th
birthday of Myra Janco Daniels. Myra, radiant in her
black Valentino gown, greeted close to 100 friends,
colleagues past and present and local dignitaries,
including Mayor John Sorey and his wife, Dolores.
During the evening Sheriff Kevin Rambosk presented
Myra with the CCSO Community Star Award, the first
recipient of this new community honor.
Seated at tables covered in purple and bedecked
with spectacular gold and crystal centerpieces, guests
were treated to a sumptuous buffet of some of Myra’s
favorite Persian foods, all prepared by the hostess.
Throughout the evening Ruben Celiberty and Steven
Banyea, recently returned from a concert tour of
Italy, entertained with piano music and lyrics. Myra
emotionally spoke of her amazing life from Gary,
Indiana to Naples, Florida and her many routes and
experiences along the way.The highlight of the evening
occurred when William Knoll led an enthusiastic
crowd with a rendition of Happy Birthday as Myra
blew out the candles on her cake.
