David Lawrence Center, Collier County’s only comprehensive, notfor-profit mental health and substance abuse treatment facility serving children, adults and families, will magically transform the Ritz-Carlton, Naples Beach Resort (280 Vanderbilt Beach Road in Naples) into the Parthenon in Ancient Greece for their 2015 destination themed annual gala fundraiser, “Signatures of Greece, An Elegant Evening at the Parthenon,” to be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 6:00 p.m.
This award winning annual event, one of the most fashionable galas of the Naples social season, will turn back the hands of time to the B.C. period of our world’s history, transporting guests on a journey to Athens in which they will discover and revel in the immense beauty of what was Ancient Greece.
The people of Greece loved their music and celebrated life by dancing. The word music, in fact, is derived from the Greek name of the Muses, the daughters of Zeus who were the patron goddesses of the arts. The Ancient Greeks also celebrated life by eating – treating food and drink as an art form.
To become an Athenian for the evening, and fully partake in the Ancient Greek experience elegant Grecian attire and black tie is suggested. Throughout the evening, guests will have unlimited opportunities to bid on luxurious silent and live auction items while dining on the Greek inspired cuisine and dancing the night away to live music.
In recent years, David Lawrence Center’s themed galas have been named Best Themed Event by Gulfshore Life magazine, one of the Spring Season’s most memorable fundraising parties by Naples Illustrated magazine, and Best Event Theme by The Journal.
Tickets to the event are $500 per person, $1,200 per VIP patron, and $10,000 per premier sponsor of a table of ten. All proceeds will benefit the mission, operations and expansion of the David Lawrence Center’s prevention, intervention and treatment services for the one in four local children and adults who experience behavioral, emotional, psychological and/or substance abuse challenges.
