This Virginia native has the gift of gab and hospitality. She and her work are well known by the Naples community and she has collaborated professionally with many successful locals as well as business owners.
Sue’s career began in the newspaper industry and by the age of 30, she was the managing partner of a chain of commercial print shops in Cincinnati Ohio. After building a successful operation and selling her partnership, she accepted a senior management position with the City of Cincinnati before venturing to Naples to start her own consulting business.
Her education is in communications, marketing, graphic arts, with experience in broadcasting, photography and theatre! WHEW, this lady does it all, and may I say does it well. Sue has hosted several radio programs, and been an on-air personality for several local radio stations. When I say there is no shortage of personality, that is probably an over simplification.
Sue has a reputation for being a kind generous contributor to community causes. Those that have worked directly with her validate that they respect her leadership and prudent decisions.
Sue’s expertise has been used to enrich and enhance the careers of individuals and provide growth to the cause and fundraising ability of numerous local charities. Sue doesn’t just add her name to committee lists she is fully committed and steps up to manage projects and leads when others shy away.
Sue has served as an Ambassador for the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce, is a founding member of the Women of Initiative (WOI) and Junior Women of Initiative (JWOI) mentoring program.
A 2004 WOI herself, she felt that she wanted to mentor young women on life skills and self-awareness so she helped form the JWOI. To date more than 150 young women have had the privilege of attending these valuable life enriching sessions. She celebrates a decade of exuberant service on the PR committee for the Naples Winter Wine Festival; she will shake her tambourine with the best of them.
Sue works closely with Make-AWish Southern Florida, the Founders Fund, PAWS Assistance Dogs, Friends of Foster Children and gladly volunteers when and where asked. She has cofounded an organization which offers free marketing seminars for area non-profits.
Sue is pleased to be part of the 2015 Leadership Collier class, and in her spare time participates as a member of the National Daughters of the American Revolution (NDAR).
The list of awards and recognitions is nearly endless. She is indeed a woman of initiative, she doesn’t just start she finishes, she doesn’t just join she commits, and problems for her are always opportunities. Sue Huff, a Winners Circle member Naples Style.
